Chris Schastok has been promoted to vice chairman — the highest professional title for producers — in CBRE’s Chicago office. Schastok is a member of the commercial real estate services firm’s site selection and incentives group within its advisory services practice.
Schastok has worked at CBRE for over 13 years, helping clients secure business objectives by working on site selection strategy and economic incentive negotiations and the broader planning and execution of their corporate real estate initiatives. He has negotiated billions of dollars in incentives on behalf of clients, with his experience in this realm ranging from corporate headquarters, food production, manufacturing and distribution center projects.
Berkadia added Senior Managing Directors Kevin Gleason and Brendan Shields and Director Maggie McFarland to its investment sales platform in Boston. The trio, which joined Berkadia from Walker & Dunlop, brings a combined 40 years of experience and specializes in the origination and execution of multifamily investment sales across New England. Combined, the team members have completed over $15 billion in volume across property sales and capitalizations.
Convene Hospitality Group appointed Melanie Colton as chief product and technology officer. In her new role, she will steer the technology platform, operational systems and data-driven capabilities across the company's growing global portfolio that includes the Convene and Etc.venues brands, the firm said. Based in New York City, she brings over 25 years of product and technology experience to the role, and most recently served as chief technology officer at Axios Media.
Bart Pucci has joined Cresa as an executive managing director at the firm’s Century City office in Los Angeles. Pucci, who brings over 30 years of industrial and creative office experience to his new role, will advise clients on the acquisition, disposition and leasing of complex real estate transactions, Cresa said. He joined the occupier-centric brokerage from Savills, having recently represented clients such as Smart & Final, Restoration Hardware and USC’s Keck School of Medicine.
Alex Ross joined South Florida’s Decker Capital as the firm’s managing director of capital markets and investments. With over 15 years of experience, he leads the company’s investment strategy and acquisitions across its small bay industrial platform, including sourcing, underwriting and structuring investment opportunities, Decker said. He also will oversee lender relationships and financing strategy and support equity capital raising with institutional partners. He joined Decker from Vibrant Capital Partners and also worked at Goldman Sachs and Barclays.
Jacksonville, Florida’s NAI Hallmark announced a slate of leadership changes meant to prepare the firm for future growth, with Christian Harden now leading the firm as CEO. As part of the moves, Keith Goldfaden transitioned from co-CEO to chief strategy officer. Allison Davies, who was named chief financial officer earlier this year, will also play a major role to help support the firm’s growth, NAI Hallmark said.
In their new roles, Harden will focus on leadership, culture and operating discipline to help the organization scale, the firm said. Goldfaden will focus on identifying new markets and strategic partnerships, growth opportunities and expanding key client relationships. Davies, who brings 20 years of experience to her position and joined from Ahead CRE, oversees the company’s financial operations and strategic financial planning.
