The head of CBRE Canada says he will be stepping down, and a search has begun to find his replacement.
Werner Dietl, who has been at the real estate company for 27 years and has had the top job at the company since September 2018, sent out an email with the subject line "Passing the Torch at CBRE Canada." The president and chief executive said he was transitioning to a new chapter in his career.
"I could not be prouder of how CBRE has worked with all of our amazing clients to raise the bar on commercial real estate outcomes in Canada. Together, we overcame the challenges of a gruelling pandemic and changing market dynamics," said Dietl in the email.
Dietl said he will spend the next six months ensuring a seamless transition with his successor.
"We are running a robust process to find the right person to drive our Canadian business forward. I am deeply committed to ensuring I pass the torch to a world-class leader with vision and strength, who will build on our incredible momentum and deliver for our clients at an even higher level," said Dietl.
CBRE did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CoStar News.
