Annual job growth ranks among the strongest nationally in Omaha, Nebraska

Improving office-using job market underpins labor market resiliency

According to the most recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nonfarm employers in Omaha, Nebraska, added 13,500 jobs, or 2.6%, year-over-year in August. That is roughly three times the average annual gains from 2015 to 2019, and the percent growth rate ranks fifth-strongest among the nation's 60 largest metropolitan areas.
