In his latest monthly "On the Radar" video insights into hotel industry data and topics, CoStar National Director of Hospitality Analytics Jan Freitag discusses one potential impact of the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank on the hotel industry: a lack of financing available for hotel construction.
Freitag noted that hotel rooms in the construction pipeline have "hovered around 160,000 for about a year and these events will likely negatively impact that number.
