Best Western Nairobi upgraded

BWH Hotels and management firm Aleph Hospitality have announced that the 99-room Best Western Plus Westlands is being rebranded as the Best Western Premier Westlands, the first for that particular brand in Kenya. Aleph has since 2029 operated the property, which before the refurbishment had 101 rooms.

IHG to debut in Iceland

IHG Hotels & Resorts is to soon open its first hotel in Iceland. A deal with Reykjavík-based owner Alva Capital will see an office in the Hlíðar neighborhood of the Icelandic capital converted into a 53-room Candlewood Suites property. That hotel is planned as the first of several hotels in the country with a total of 500 rooms.

Extendam and Highgate acquire Portuguese hotel

Parisian investment firm Extendam and London-based Highgate have announced they have acquired the 194-room Hilton Porto Gaia. In Vila Nova de Gaia across the Douro River from Porto, the hotel is to be managed by Highgate. No price was disclosed.

A&O acquire hotel in London’s Docklands

Hostel owner-operator A&O Hostels has acquired the 378-room DoubleTree by Hilton London Docklands Riverside into which it plans to invest more than £20 million in a conversion starting early next year. A&O’s plan for what it is to call the A&O London Docklands Riverside— the hostel brand's debut in London — is to make available 500 rooms and 2,100 beds at the property.

Turenne Hôtellerie acquires Nantes Novotel

French owner Turenne Hôtellerie has acquired the 105-room Novotel Nantes Centre Gare in Nantes, France, for an undisclosed price. Business Immo reported in July Turenne sold the 198-room Hôtel Mercure Nice Centre Notre-Dame in Nice, which CoStar said commanded a price of approximately €49.5 million.

Wyndham opens Prosecco hotel

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and owner All in Italia Hotels & Resorts have opened the 51-room Wyndham Garden Conegliano in Conegliano, Italy. The region is the heart of Prosecco wine country and approximately 40 miles north of Venice. The hotel, which operated independently since 1982, has dropped its room count by six rooms in the conversion.

Nhow now in Rome

Nhow Hotels & Resorts has opened its second hotel in Italy and first in Rome with the 260-room Nhow Roma, that occupies a building dating to 1971 that before then was a convent owned by the Vatican.

Hilton sign two in Manchester

Hilton has signed two hotels in Manchester, Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Center and Motto by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly. The 358-room new-build Hampton, owned by Ask Deansgate Ltd., will open early in 2026. The 154-room Motto, owned by Ancoats Manchester Ltd., will open the following year. Hilton recently exited Manchester’s 279-room Hilton Deansgate Hotel, which is operating independently as the Manchester Deansgate but soon will be managed by IHG.

Accor to open first skiing resort

Accor brand MGallery Collection has announced its first skiing resort. In collaboration with owner CLR Hotels, an 82-room MGallery will open in Valmorel in the French Alps in 2027. The two partners first worked together with the 72-room La Grande Terrasse Hôtel & Spa La Rochelle MGallery Collection in Les Boucholeurs, a coastal village in the west of France.

IHG and Jadeer to open Cairo Hotel Indigo

IHG and owner Jadeer Group plan to open the 120-room Hotel Indigo New Cairo in 2031. It will be part of a mixed-use development called Red (G). IHG has eight hotels in Egypt in four brands, along with 22 hotels in development.

Devon’s Manor House Hotel and Ashbury Resort sold

Seattle-based Evergreen Escapes is acquiring the 186-room Manor House Hotel and 219-room Ashbury Resort, which are two miles from one another near Okehampton, Devon, England. The sellers are Joan Essex and Simon Essex who are retiring after managing the properties for the last 47 years. The price was undisclosed, but CoStar states the guide price as approximately £23 million.

Hyatt opens Me & All in Berlin

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the 227-room Me & All Hotel Berlin East Side. A conversion property, the hotel has been operated or owned by Accor and Lindner Hotels AG, and before Hyatt’s takeover in September the hotel had 242 rooms.

Vivium acquires upcoming Ble Kedros hotel

United Arab Emirates family office Vivium Holding has acquired an under-construction hotel project in Athens for €18.6 million. The seller is real estate investment trust Ble Kedros, who acquired the site for €1.38 million and added approximately €4 million in capital expenditures. The hotel is due to have 65 rooms.

Radisson opens hotel on the National Golf Brussels course

Radisson Hotel Group has opened the 150-room Radisson Collection, The National Hotel Brussels, at the National Golf Brussels course.
