Sir Philip Green sells loss-making BHS to Retail Acquisitions

Sir Philip Green, the billionaire owner of the Arcadia Group, has announced the sale of the loss-making department store BHS to a newly-formed investment vehicle, Retail Acquisitions, owned by a consortium of high net worth individuals led by Keith Smith.

No financial details of the deal were released.  The sale ends Sir Philip Green’s 15-year ownership of the high street chain, which was acquired in 2000 for around £200m.
