ClubCorp, the biggest U.S. owner of private golf courses and country clubs, bought a 233-acre championship course near its Dallas headquarters after purchasing a virtual golf technology company, moves that let it use real and imagined courses to capitalize on the sport's growth among first-time players across the United States.
