Gazeley's plans for a pioneering three-storey 460,000 sq ft (40,473 sq m) last-mile storage and distribution warehouse – on course to be the UK’s second multi-storey modern warehouse – in east London’s Silvertown, have been lodged with Newham council and welcomed by the GLA as “innovative in design and well-conceived”, underlining the London mayor’s likely attitude to such schemes.
