Helical/Baupost's 500,000 sq ft St Barts City scheme set for approval

Helical Bar’s and Baupost Group’s masterplan for the 500,000 sq ft redevelopment of the St Barts site in the City has been recommended for planning approval, despite more than 80 letters of objection to elements of the scheme, CoStar News can reveal.

Ahead of next week’s Planning & Transportation Committee meeting, City planning officer Peter Rees has voiced his support for the scheme, which will involve either full or partial demolition of 15 pre- and post-war hospital, office and educational buildings on a 3.2-acre site opposite St Barts Hospital.
