Global bank HSBC signed one of New York’s largest office deals this year as it plans to relocate its U.S. headquarters to Tishman Speyer’s Spiral project on Manhattan’s west side. But the move has caught its current landlord off guard and complicates a plan to sell the property housing its current digs.
