Orange County’s Unemployment Rate Falls to Lowest Level Since First Reports of COVID-19 in US

Orange County’s unemployment rate fell to 2.7% in April, according to the latest report released by California’s Employment Development Department. That’s the lowest figure since December 2019, when the local unemployment rate was 2.6%. It is also coming in lower than California’s 3.8% unemployment rate, and the current national average at 3.3%.
