Investors spent £113m on Newcastle offices in 2019, a rise of 22% on the previous year and on a par with the levels recorded in 2017. While the number of deals was actually down fairly sharply on the previous two years, spending was propped up by investors seeking opportunities to enhance the value of existing buildings.
