Bovis continues landbuying strategy as profits rises to £8.1m

Housebuilder Bovis Homes has seen a increase in pre-tax profit of £8.1m (H1 2010: £3.5m) as the market continues to be “challenging”.

For the six months ended 30 June 2011, the group reported that it had completed 801 homes, with an increase in average sales of 3.2% and a “slight” reduction in build costs.
