Global corporate real estate advisory and outsourcing services firm Mohr Partners hired Darren Shibuya to lead its Los Angeles office as managing partner.
The 30-year commercial real estate veteran joins the Dallas-based firm after eight years with JLL as executive vice president, Mohr said in a statement.
Shibuya has represented corporate occupiers in the United States and internationally throughout his career, buying and selling their leased and owned properties.
He also spent time as senior managing director at DTZ — now part of Cushman & Wakefield — where he worked with Mohr Partners Chairman and CEO Robert Shibuya. Prior to his time at DTZ, Darren Shibuya worked as a principal in tenant representation firm Cresa’s Los Angeles office for two decades.
“I’ve known Darren for over 25 years and his proven dedication, industry acumen and unwavering commitment will undoubtedly steer our firm to new heights in the Los Angeles market,” said Robert Shibuya, who isn't related to Darren Shibuya.
Darren Shibuya graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance. He is also a past president of the Southern California chapter of CoreNet Global.
