Multifamily development in the Dallas area is shifting further north in outlying communities in Collin and Denton counties, tracking explosive demographic growth in the area. Builders are planting flags in burgeoning communities such as Celina, Little Elm, Melissa and Princeton. These small, but fast-growing, communities have emerged as satellites to more mature suburban cities such as Plano, Frisco, Allen and McKinney.
