Executives from hotel brand companies, ownership groups and more met in Los Angeles for the first major conference of 2026: the Americas Lodging Investment Summit.

A year ago, ALIS attendees were confident 2025 would turn out to be a great year for the U.S. hotel industry. Those positive vibes didn't quite pan out. In response, conference speakers at this year's summit expressed a bit more caution when projecting what 2026 might bring.
