Analia Bobadilla
Bobadilla has been appointed as corporate director of accounting at Extreme Hospitality. She brings more than a decade of accounting leadership to the firm, with extensive expertise in the hospitality industry.
Laura Trussell McKoy
McKoy has been promoted to chief creative officer at Omni Hotels & Resorts. McKoy joined Omni in February 2007 as director of interior design, leading the brand’s interior design efforts for new developments, renovations and capital improvement projects. She later advanced to creative director and vice president of interior design.
Mike Russo
Russo was appointed as vice president of operations at Extreme Hospitality. Throughout his career, Russo has held senior operational roles with globally respected hospitality brands such as The Ritz-Carlton and Loews Hotel chains. He has led teams across a diverse portfolio of branded properties, consistently driving strong results in RevPAR, guest satisfaction and team engagement.
General managers
Rory Emslie
Emslie has been promoted to general manager of the Lido House, Autograph Collection in Newport Beach, California. Emslie joined Lido House in 2021, where he served as director of rooms, resident manager and, most recently, hotel manager. Under his leadership, the property achieved record-breaking guest service scores, the highest associate engagement ratings in its history and exceptional revenue growth in its food-and-beverage outlets.
Joe Jennings
Jennings was appointed as general manager of the Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown by IHG in Dallas. Most recently, Jennings served as vice president of DFW-based Q Companies, which owns and operates multiple hotels and automatic car washes. His 30-plus years of hospitality experience includes onsite and area-level leadership roles overseeing full-service properties spanning well-known hotel brands operated by leading hotel companies.
Mark Weatherill
Weatherill has been appointed as general manager of the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Honolulu. He most recently served as complex general manager at The Westin Galleria Houston and The Westin Oaks Houston at the Galleria, where he successfully led the team through a 36-month renovation while increasing profitability and associate engagement scores.
Martin Wormull
Wormull was appointed as general manager of the Hotel Phoenix in Atlanta. Wormull is an award-winning hospitality leader who has operated a range of exceptional properties, including the five-star Loren Hotel Austin at Lady Bird Lake and Conrad Nashville, where he led a successful opening that earned a Forbes Recommended rating, Brand Development of the Year honors and top guest satisfaction rankings within Hilton’s luxury collection.
Sales and marketing
Jason Baer
Baer has been appointed as director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach, California. Baer most recently served as director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, where he led the team to three consecutive years of record-breaking group room nights.
Miranda Hutchison
Hutchison was appointed as director of sales at The Westin Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee. Most recently, Hutchison served with HEI Hotels & Resorts, rising from group sales manager and task force lead to director of sales and marketing at The Westin Buckhead Atlanta. In that role, she led cross-functional teams and oversaw budgeting, group pace, sales strategy and daily business review in collaboration with revenue management.
Food and beverage
Omari Buncum
Buncum was appointed as director of food and beverage at the Hotel Phoenix in Atlanta. Buncum brings more than 15 years of food-and-beverage expertise to Hotel Phoenix. A graduate of Morehouse College, he most recently served as director of food and beverage at Forth Hotel Atlanta, where he opened four new dining concepts and helped establish the hotel in one of the most celebrated launches in the country.
Richard Chapa
Chapa has been appointed as assistant food and beverage director at the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center in Austin, Texas. Most recently, Chapa was general manager of Hilton Austin's Cannon + Belle, where he launched a Bourbon Bar program recognized at IMEX, consistently increased guest satisfaction scores and developed local barrel collaborations.
Germán Méndez
Méndez has been appointed as chef de cuisine at the Oxbow Bar & Grill at Luminary Hotel & Co. in Fort Myers, Florida. Most recently, Méndez served as chef de cuisine at Ocean Social at Nobu Hotel and Eden Roc Hotel, where he oversaw and led large-scale culinary teams. He also honed his skills in acclaimed Miami kitchens such as 1 Hotel South Beach and the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel.
