Wilton Developments, the industrial property developer, has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Chris Collins as asset management director.
Collins has more than 15 years of industry experience, specialising in strategic asset management across a range of property sectors, but is best known for his work as an industrial and logistics estates manager.
His previous roles include five years at Town Centre Securities where he rose to associate director and head of asset management for Potter Space, the business park owner-operator.
Notable achievements in his career to date include the acquisition and full refurbishment of Ducie House in Manchester, which went on to be fully let.
Wilton said Collins will be responsible for "delivering value across [our] expanding investment portfolio", including working with the firm's existing tenants to enhance estate performance, as well as attracting new occupiers and identifying opportunities for income and capital growth.
"Chris will also lead initiatives to optimise assets through targeted enhancements, ensuring long-term value; including the investment management of humanSpaces, Wilton’s new venture into high quality serviced offices in its award-winning HQ at 10 South Parade, Leeds," the firm added.
Jason Stowe, managing director of Wilton Developments, said in a statement: "Chris’s cross-sector experience and track record in value creation through hands-on asset management make him a strong addition to the Wilton team. I am delighted to welcome him into the business as he takes up this key role within our income team."
Last month Wilton hired another senior team member, adding Rach Whitfield, who spearheaded the "Let it – Get it" marketing campaign for Mountpark Bristol 360, as a director.
