Easterly buys Vermont property anchored by Homeland Security

Purchase is part of firm’s strategy to focus on ‘mission-critical’ facilities

A Washington, D.C.-based real estate investment trust bought a government-occupied facility near Burlington, Vermont, in a deal that it says fits into its strategy of adding buildings that play a critical role in federal agencies' operations and face minimal risk of having their leases terminated.
