CBRE promotes finance broker; Newmark names global tenant services chief; Seaport Entertainment appoints CFO 

CBRE promoted John Parrett to vice chair, the highest rank for producers at the world's largest commercial real estate service firm. Parrett, based in Chicago, is part of CBRE's debt and structured finance group, where he works with owners of multifamily and commercial properties nationwide.

Parrett joined CBRE in 2006 and most recently served as an executive vice president. Prior to CBRE, he worked at PGIM, part of Prudential Financial, where he originated and underwrote mortgage and mezzanine debt transactions.

Newmark announced the hiring of Peter Trollope as its global head of occupier solutions. Trollope is based in the New York brokerage's London office and will oversee the firm's international practice geared toward property users, providing workplace consulting, tenant representation, lease administration and management of projects and facilities, Newmark said. He has advised Fortune 500 clients worldwide and previously served as global head of project management advisory at CBRE.

Seaport Entertainment Group, an owner and operator of entertainment, retail, restaurant and hospitality properties, appointed Lenah Elaiwat as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. The New York-based company said Elaiwat previously served as its interim CFO and chief accounting officer. Her nearly 20 years of industry experience includes prior work at Regis Group, Midwood Investment, Colony Capital and Edison Properties.

Avison Young hired Michael Watson as senior vice president in its Atlanta office. The firm said Watson, a net-lease investment broker who brings nearly a decade of experience from Northmarq, will focus on the acquisition and disposition of net-lease properties nationwide.

Transwestern Real Estate Services expanded its national industrial practice with the addition of John Bollman, Barrett Bufkin and Austin Fahy, based in its Dallas office. All three formerly worked at Cresa and have experience in logistics, supply chains and national tenant representation. Bollman and Bufkin joined Transwestern as managing directors, and Fahy as a senior vice president.

SRS Real Estate Partners added Ian Diaz, Tyler Gebauer and Sean Harlow to its operations in Newport Beach, California, as part of an ongoing national expansion of its industrial-focused services. All three formerly worked at Marcus & Millichap. Dallas-based SRS said Diaz and Gebauer joined the firm as vice presidents, and Harlow joined as an associate.

Chicago-based multifamily brokerage Kiser Group promoted Jacob Price and Katie LeGrand to directors. Price and LeGrand, who previously served as advisers, joined the firm in 2022. Price held prior roles at Edgewater Uptown Builders Association and Allstate. LeGrand previously worked at firms including Jameson Sotheby's International Realty, CEB and Catalina Marketing.

Rental housing developer and operator Middleburg appointed Scott Zimmerly as regional development partner. The Vienna, Virginia-based firm said Zimmerly will oversee development across its core Southeastern markets. He previously served as mid-Atlantic executive managing director at Wood Partners, and before that, worked for five years in investment banking and on acquisitions at Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, now Elme Communities.
