IM Properties has bolstered its commercial development team with the appointment of Daniel Rudd as development manager.

Rudd, who joins from Newmark after less than a year there, will support the delivery of the firm's project portfolio and future joint ventures, as the business continues its growth plans across the industrial and logistics sector.

Rudd worked alongside IM Properties two years ago while at Savills, acting agency-side on the Connexion scheme at Blythe Valley Park, where market-leading rents were achieved.

"His move from agency into development represents a natural progression and a personal career goal after more than seven years in industrial agency, acting on behalf of both occupiers and landlords", the firm said.

A graduate of Birmingham City University’s real estate programme, Rudd began his career on the Lambert Smith Hampton graduate scheme. "Having lived and worked around Birmingham he brings both local knowledge and a strong regional perspective to his new position," it added.

Rudd said in a statement: "I always thought about moving into the development world eventually, however when an opportunity to work at IM Properties came along, it was too good an opportunity not to take the step now.

"The company is highly regarded, constantly evolving and pushing the envelope with an incredibly exciting development pipeline looking to deliver industry benchmarks in innovation, sustainability and community impact."

Rudd's appointment comes as IM Properties progresses several major developments across the Midlands, including proposals for Thrive, a £343 million employment park in North Warwickshire targeting manufacturing, research and development, and logistics sector occupiers.

Kevin Ashfield, UK development director, IM Properties, added: "Dan is a great fit for the team. He already understands how we work, has a solid background in industrial agency and his professionalism, passion and eye for detail will continue to help set us apart as he plays an important part in helping us deliver on our development ambitions."
