CBRE pursues institutional business with New York hire
Ariel Aber joined CBRE as a vice chair and will focus on institutional investment transactions across New York City, the real estate services firm said. Aber, who has more than 18 years of industry experience, joined CBRE from DivcoWest, where he served as managing director and head of New York investments for seven years. Prior to DivcoWest, he worked as director of real estate for AmTrust Financial, where he managed global operations including acquisitions and asset management.
CBRE said Aber will partner with Doug Middleton on institutional investment transactions for clients in the New York region.
Avison Young taps leader to grow in Colorado
Avison Young appointed Katie Kruger as principal and market leader for its Denver office as the firm looks to expand in Colorado. In her new role, Kruger will focus on growing the firm’s regional footprint in brokerage, valuation, property and project management services, the brokerage said. Kruger joined Avison Young from CBRE, where she served as market leader and oversaw all advisory lines in Colorado, including leasing, sales, finance, valuation and property management.
A 24-year industry veteran, Kruger will also focus on recruiting new talent to Avison Young, the firm said. Avison Young “sees Colorado as a major stop between the coasts and a commercial real estate market with tremendous growth ahead,” said Chris Cooper, principal and regional managing director for the Western U.S., in a statement. Kruger succeeds Marcy Moneypenny, who served as the firm’s Denver market leader for the past five years.
JLL merges workplace services under industry veteran
JLL formed a dedicated new workplace management sub-business line within its larger real estate management services, headed by Work Dynamics Chief Operating Officer Paul Morgan. In his role, Morgan leads more than 50,000 management, engineering and mobile technical specialists as part of a streamlined service structure, the real estate services firm said. The reorganization involved combining services offered in areas including facilities management, energy, sustainability and occupancy, according to JLL.
Morgan has more than 25 years of industry experience. He worked at firms including Johnson Controls and CBRE before joining JLL in 2016. He now heads an executive team that includes JLL workplace segment leaders Christian Whitaker, Tim Eldridge, Tim Bernardez, Gabriela Stephenson, Peter Jones, Michael Thompson, Sean Greig and Wei Xie.
Stream Realty names new Dallas executives

Stream Realty Partners promoted Ryan Boozer to vice chairman and partner, and Dan Harris to vice chairman and managing director. Both work in the company’s Dallas office. Boozer, who joined Stream in 2014, co-leads the firm’s industrial division serving the Dallas-Fort Worth region, where he oversees all aspects of industrial tenant representation. He has completed more than 825 transactions with a total value of $1.29 billion in the past decade.
Harris joined Stream in 2019 and co-leads the office tenant representation division in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. In the past year, he played a lead brokerage role in three of the region’s largest office sale transactions including the acquisition of the Preston Commons complex by Energy Transfer for about $150 million, according to public filings.
Lee & Associates adds property management director in Ohio
Jeremy Woods joined Lee & Associates as director of property management in the company’s Columbus, Ohio, office. Woods has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, including management, planning, tenant relations and construction oversight.
In his new role at Lee & Associates, he will oversee more than 7 million square feet of assets under management across central Ohio, as the firm seeks to expand its management services in the region, Lee said.
Woods worked most recently as a facility director and area general manager at CBRE. Before that, he worked at firms including JLL, Mount Carmel Health System and Black Gate Partners.
