The former home of Steakburger and the affiliated Mini-Golf Course at 7120 NE Highway 99 in Vancouver, WA has transferred from the restaurant’s individual owners to MAJ Development Corp. for $1.85 million. Though the restaurant structure transferred as part of the sale, it sold for land value and MAJ Development has plans to demolish the building to develop MAJ Place. Demolition of a neighboring building that will be part of the development began June 3, and the former Steakburger is scheduled to be torn down next. MAJ’s plans for the 1.8 acre parcel between I-5 and NE Highway 99 include a 4,300-square-foot Panera Bread, scheduled to deliver Aug. 15; a 2,600-square-foot fast food restaurant for Taco Bell, a build-to-suit office pad site and a 4,800-square-foot retail building to house Pacific Dental and Zoomcare. There are also plans to improve the signalized intersection at 72nd Street and NE Highway 99, to expand the existing Fred Meyer to include a fueling station and to demolish and rebuild the McDonalds. The sellers were represented by Charlie Kleier and Pam Lindloff of NAI Norris, Beggs, & Simpson. Representing MAJ Development was Steve Mack of Coldwell Banker Commercial Jenkins and Associates.
