Investment sales of retail properties in San Jose nosedived in the second half of 2022, as rising interest rates and economic worries severely dampened investor interest. Despite the sharp downturn, San Jose finished the year with a record $1 billion in retail property transactions, the first time that the Silicon Valley retail market had crossed the billion-dollar threshold.
