Stark State College Purchases New Alternative Energy Campus for $4.9M

Americus Real Estate Sells Fully Leased Office Building in Canton

Stark State College, a public college located in North Canton, OH, acquired the office building in Canton, OH from Texas-based Americus Real Estate Investments, Inc. for $4.9 million, or $80 per square foot. Stark State plans to use the space as a part of their alternative energy campus. The office building was constructed in 1995 at 400 3rd St. and is located in the southeast portion of downtown Canton. It totals 61,251 square feet and is currently occupied by Chesapeake Energy Corp. and The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, according to CoStar information.
