Hines Increasing Control Downtown

Hines Interests has acquired 50 Fremont St. in San Francisco from The Shorenstein Co. for an undisclosed amount. The building is the latest addition to the Hines portfolio, which also includes 101 California St., 343 Sansome St. and 505 Montgomery St. 50 Fremont, also known as 50 Fremont Center, stands 42 stories tall with a rentable building area of 735,000 square feet. It was developed by Shorenstein in 1984, and commands a highly visible location. Patrick McAllister of Eastdil Realty represented Shorenstein in the transaction. Bill Fuller and Norm Spencer of Hines Interests represented their company as buyer.
