Robust Leasing Could Lead to Another Top Year for Industrial Absorption in Houston

Leases for Spaces Above 100,000 Square Feet Drive Leasing Volume

While total industrial leasing volume in Houston declined during the second half of 2022 compared to the first half, leasing activity remains elevated well above historic levels for the market. During the fourth quarter of 2022, total industrial leasing volume was up 20% from the fourth quarter leasing tally of 2021, and 51% higher than the fourth quarter level average of the three years before the pandemic.
