Ashley Rath joined Transwestern as the firm’s new senior director for data and information technology as it continues to strengthen its tech team. In her new role, Rath will work alongside the firm’s business leaders to prioritize and execute large scale data, analytics and AI initiatives focused on revenue growth, operational experience, scalability and client experience, the firm said.
Rath joins with nearly 20 years of experience, having most recently served as an AI and data portfolio director at Cushman & Wakefield. She will report to Jason Moersch, executive managing director of business intelligence, innovation and technology.
Chicago’s Greenstone Partners expanded with the acquisition of D4 Realty, appointing that brokerage’s founder Dave Schraufnagel as Greenstone’s senior director of investment sales and leasing. The move expands the firm's investment sales and leasing capabilities, with Schraufnagel bringing nearly 25 of experience to the position; in his new role, he will expand the scope of Greenstone’s brokerage platform, leading investment sales and leasing assignments across the Chicagoland area, the company said.
Dallas-based BLDR Holdings launched a new commercial construction company led by George Heath as president. The division, named Texbuilt and headquartered in Irving, will provide commercial construction services across multiple sectors. Joining Heath are Matthew Connors as vice president of operations and Bobby Bass as director of preconstruction.
Cushman & Wakefield added Brian Helmken, Erik Heltne and Addison Carlson to the brokerage’s Minneapolis office leasing team. Helmken and Heltne joined as senior directors and Carlson as a senior associate. The trio, who previously worked at Avison Young, will provide leasing advisory service for clients throughout the Twin Cities and Greater Minneapolis region, the firm said.
New York’s DIG Architecture appointed Suzette Bather as managing principal of the architecture, interior design and graphics company’s Queen’s office. In her new role, she will oversee the growth and direction of the local office and strengthen the firm’s position throughout the New York metropolitan area by cultivating strategic partnerships, growing business opportunities and building on established team expertise, the company said.
Avison Young promoted Boston’s Patrick Schmidt to principal and managing director of the real estate services company’s national project and construction management platform. He arrives at the position with 33 years of experience, and succeeds Stephen Silverstein, who previously held the role of managing director, U.S. – Studio, Project and Construction Management and now serves as principal and managing director for global business development and enterprise accounts, project management and consulting.
Chicago law firm Ginsberg Jacobs named Tim Franzen partner and chair of the hospitality real estate practice. With nearly 30 years of experience in hospitality real estate law, Franzen will continue to lead the growth of the law firm’s hospitality real estate practice, the legal outfit said. He most recently served as chief development officer at Placemakr, a venture capital-backed residential and hospitality flexible-use operator.
Los Angeles’ Rand Paster & Nelson added Fred Gaines, Sherman Stacey, Kimberly Rible and Alicia Bartley as partners. Gaines focuses on land use entitlements and environmental reviews, Stacey on land use planning, permitting and regulatory compliance, Rible on land use, zoning and environmental law and Bartley on property transaction litigation and real estate development, the firm said.
