Office leasing data through mid-May reflects overall market caution amid heightened uncertainty and reduced demand in the near future. After a strong start in the first two months of the year, leasing volume began to fall off in March as lockdowns and social distancing became widespread, and then plunged in April and May, down more than 50% from monthly average totals in 2016 through 2019.
