Colliers grows California industrial team; JLL appoints five to North American development team; Cushman hires director in Texas

Colliers is growing its industrial presence in Southern California's Inland Empire and Orange County with the addition of 30-year industry veteran Kyle Kehner and Trevor Wright, who is returning to the real estate services firm. Colliers hired Kehner, who spent the past three decades at Cushman & Wakefield, as an executive vice president based in Ontario. He represents institutional landlords, developers, users and private owners. Wright, who previously worked at Stream Realty Partners, joined Colliers as an associate vice president in Irvine. He has been in commercial real estate for more than seven years, two of which he spent as an associate at Colliers.

Kehner and Wright join the team of Vice Chair Ian DeVries, Executive Vice President Chris DeVries and Senior Client Services Specialist Patty Uchytil and will predominantly focus on the Inland Empire market, Colliers said. "Our industrial business is a critical component of our platform," and the addition of Kehner and Wright "significantly bolsters our service offerings across the region,” said Amanda Spangler, senior managing director of Colliers in Orange County and the Inland Empire, in a statement.

JLL said it appointed five senior executives to leadership positions at its Project and Development Services, or PDS, group to bolster its financial services, industrial and U.S. and Canadian operations as well as its capabilities in investor services in Canada. PDS manages the design and construction of client projects and provides other related services.

The commercial property services giant said Nick Caprio joined PDS as its global financial services industry lead to drive the group's growth in the global financial services sector. He is based in Tampa, Florida. JLL promoted Paul Walters to executive vice president and leader of PDS' national industrial and manufacturing business and Texas operation, a newly created role. He is based in Dallas. In Charlotte, North Carolina, JLL promoted Paul Spokas to Southeast region market lead in an expansion of his current responsibilities as South Atlantic market leader.

In Canada, Jillian Jackson joined JLL as a senior vice president and investor services lead. JLL said Jackson will oversee the execution of capital expenditure programs for landlord clients across the country. She's based in JLL’s Canada headquarters in Toronto. The firm also said Nick Radford joined JLL as a managing director and head of PDS Canada and Central Canada to oversee PDS delivery, growth and business development, as it expands the firm's presence across the country's major markets. He also is based in JLL’s Canada headquarters.

Cushman & Wakefield said it hired Nash Frisbie as a director in Austin, Texas, where the broker who spent the past eight-plus years at Transwestern, to focus on industrial agency leasing as Cushman works to expand its presence in that sector.

Will Adams, who spent nearly the past decade at Newmark and also worked at CBRE and Savills, joined Cresa, as a managing principal to lead the occupier-centric brokerage's Century City office in Los Angeles and oversee strategy, client service and growth opportunities.

Chris Baird, who has worked in leasing at Taurus Investment Holdings, Finmarc Management and CIM Group and covered commercial real estate as a reporter at Bisnow, joined industrial giant Prologis as a leasing director in Atlanta. He has hit the ground running with assignments including marketing space at Prologis Olympic Industrial Center 1, northwest of the city.

Graystone Capital Advisors said Brian Streilein, who started his commercial real estate career in 2012 at Bob Knakal's Massey Knakal Realty Services and most recently served as market leader of Matthews Real Estate Investment Services' Austin office, joined Graystone as an executive vice president in the Texas capital city to help the brokerage lead its industrial flex investment sales effort across the region.

Multifamily owner, developer and operator Guardian said it appointed former Vintage Housing Asset Manager Melody La Rue, who has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the commercial property industry, as vice president of property operations in Portland, Oregon, to oversee performance of Guardian's affordable and market-rate multifamily complexes

Surmount, the commercial real estate net lease operation created by the consolidation of NNN Pro, STNL Advisors and UGDC, said it appointed Kyle Gulock, who most recently served as co-founder and managing partner of Century Partners, as managing director of investments in what Surmount said marks "the firm’s first brokerage hire in California and serves as an immediate precursor to the Company’s strategic West Coast expansion" that will include the opening of a Los Angeles office.
