Newmark expands Phoenix industrial team; NAI Capital targets California retail business; Harbor Logistics adds executive
Newmark said it expanded its Southwest industrial brokerage practice with the hiring of Keri Scott as a senior managing director in Phoenix. Scott has 17 years of industry experience, serving most recently at Colliers and at Cushman & Wakefield before that.
Scott brought a team with her from Colliers that includes senior associate Alex Kas-Marogi; associates Jack Kerkorian, Adam Pinard and Warren Kelly; and broker services specialist Lindsay Davi. Newmark said the industrial team will focus on agency representation, occupier strategy, investments and development consulting in the fast-growing Phoenix region.
Maurice Nieman joined NAI Capital Commercial as an executive vice president at the firm’s Orange County office in Irvine, California. The firm said Nieman is a nationally recognized veteran in net-leased retail properties with more than 35 years of experience, having served in prior executive roles at Savills and CBRE.
Harbor Logistics, a Charleston, South Carolina-based owner and operator of southeastern industrial properties, hired Jason Essenberg as senior vice president of business development. Essenberg has more than two decades of supply chain and logistics management experience, including leadership roles at TrueBlue and Kontane Logistics.
New hires, promotions and other personnel changes
Josh Larsen joined Berkadia as managing director in its mortgage banking practice. Larsen is based in Omaha, Nebraska. He worked previously at firms including CBRE, Northmarq and Haley Real Estate Group.
Construction services firm Swinerton said its board elected Chris Chany as its next chief revenue officer. Chany, who joined the company as a project engineer in 1988, is based in San Diego and will succeed Don Adair, who is retiring on Jan. 9.
Forum Investment Group added Jarvie Worcester as head of real estate. The Denver-based company said Worcester will oversee land acquisitions, development and related investments. He worked most recently at Trammell Crow Residential after serving in various roles at Real Capital Solutions, Vail Resorts Development and Intracorp.
San Diego-based Measurabl, a global provider of sustainability data for real estate owners, named Maureen Waters as its CEO. Waters previously served as its president and chief growth officer and before that worked at firms including Cushman & Wakefield and Bill Gates Investments. Measurabl co-founder and current CEO Matt Ellis will transition to executive chairman and member of the board of directors, the company said.
Farmington Hills, Michigan-based commercial real estate services firm Farbman Group said it added Charlie Portis as a vice president in its Chicago office, as part of a Midwest expansion. Portis brings 40 years of experience in office brokerage and development. The company said it also hired Kristen Howton as multifamily property manager in Michigan and Peggy Dunfee as property manager in Cleveland.
