Levy Real Estate, the London-based property consultancy, has appointed Matt Sharman as its next managing partner, effective 1 September 2025.

Sharman will succeed Simon Higgins, who steps down after nine years leading the firm.

Founded in 1938, Levy Real Estate has a team of 40 professionals. It offers expert consultancy services across capital markets, leasing, building consultancy, lease advisory, valuation and property management. It said it remains on a strong growth trajectory, with several strategic hires and service expansions planned in the coming months.

Sharman will become the fifth managing partner in the firm’s history and will continue to lead the residential team. He has led the growth of firm’s residential division since joining Levy in 2011. Higgins will remain an equity partner, focusing on agency and capital markets.

Higgins said in a statement: “Matt is an excellent choice to take Levy Real Estate forward. He is an extremely capable individual and brings energy, commitment, and vision to the role. The property world is moving at pace and it’s important that we continue to be at the forefront. It’s been a privilege to lead the business through nearly a decade of sustained growth, and I look forward to supporting Matt and the wider team as we enter this exciting new chapter.”

Sharman added: “It is both hugely exciting and a great privilege to be appointed managing partner of a firm I’ve grown with and deeply believe in. Levy Real Estate is defined by its people; talented, committed professionals who share a passion for excellence and a culture of success. That culture has flourished under Simon’s leadership and I’m enormously grateful for his guidance and support and look forward to working closely with Simon and the wider leadership team; Simon Tann, Jeremy Grundy, David Apthorp, Matt Paulson Ellis, and Rob Smith, as we continue to build on our strong foundations and provide a best-in-class service to our clients.”
