Online travel bookings group Expedia is reviewing options for a circa 200,000-square-foot London headquarters.
The group has appointed Savills to draw up a shortlist that may include staying put. At present it occupies all 250,000 square feet of offices at Derwent London's Angel Building in Islington, EC1.
It has a lease expiry on the six-storey building in 2030.
Expedia initially occupied 93,400 square feet at the building in 2011. When Cancer Research UK signed to move to a new headquarters, the travel group took two new leases from 2020. The first lease meant it took its total space to 231,400 square feet and extended its tenure from 2021 to 2030. Expedia also agreed a lease meaning it had the right of first refusal on the remaining 17,100 square feet of office space, which it eventually took up in 2021, taking the building to fully let.
Expedia is an American online travel agency owned by Expedia Group and headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It is the second-largest holiday bookings group in the world and owns travel brands including Hotels.com and Trivago.
