Gregg Metcalf joined Cushman & Wakefield as an executive director in its Atlanta office, as the company seeks to increase its regional and national services in office tenant representation. A well-known broker in the city and a past president of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Metcalf brings 30 years of experience, handling headquarters relocations, build-to-suit projects, incentive negotiations and related office client services.
Metcalf has represented landlords and developers, as well as office tenants. He worked at JLL for 16 years, most recently as an executive vice president. Before that, he worked at development firm The Alter Group and CBRE.
Cushman & Wakefield also appointed Kyle Schmidt and Will Strong to the roles of co-chairs for its national Industrial Advisory Group, focused on industrial property finance services for institutional clients. Schmidt is based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Strong is based in Phoenix. Both worked previously in executive managing director and vice chair roles at Cushman, with Strong serving most recently as an executive vice chair.
BioMed Realty promoted Allyn Aguirre, Andrew Laing and Kevin Tremblay to new senior vice president positions, as the Blackstone Group portfolio company looks to expand its nationwide holdings in life science real estate. The San Diego-based firm said Aguirre now serves as chief accounting officer. Laing’s new post is focused on asset management after previously serving as a vice president. Tremblay is now in charge of leasing for several West Coast markets after earlier work focused on California regions.
Avison Young expanded operations in Raleigh, North Carolina, with the hiring of senior vice presidents Wendy Nabors, Trey Navo and Joshua Points. Nabors is focused on retail leasing and joined the firm from Grubb Ventures. Navo and Points, both formerly with Medalist Capital, will handle capital markets services. The Raleigh-Durham region “continues to see strong population growth, new development and increasing investor interest,” Avison Young regional principal and managing director Kathy Gigac said in a statement.
Joe Reilly joined Stream Realty Partners as regional managing director of property management in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. Reilly brings more than 20 years of experience in services such as leasing, acquisitions and development. He worked most recently at Akridge, where he served as vice president of property management and asset services.
Daum Commercial Real Estate Services named Chris Migliori, a 38-year veteran of the Los Angeles-based firm, as president. Migliori previously served as an executive vice president and principal, based at its Newport Beach office in nearby Orange County. Michael Nubel, who served as Daum’s president since 1993, will retain his roles as chair and CEO.
Construction and development services provider Gilbane Building appointed Brett Mitchell as senior director of business development. Mitchell, based at the firm’s office in Sacramento, California, will handle client services for its West Division, Gilbane said. He brings more than 30 years of industry experience, with prior roles at AECOM and UC Davis Health.
NAIOP Southern Nevada, a chapter of the national commercial real estate association that serves the Las Vegas region, named Jamie Schwartz as its full-time executive director. Schwartz will work with the chapter’s president and board of directors on government affairs, industry advocacy and related programs. Prior to NAIOP, she worked at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she served as director of business and industry engagement for its Office of Economic Development.
Investment and development firm Crescent Real Estate promoted Tony Click to senior vice president of leasing. The Fort Worth, Texas-based company promoted two others to vice president roles, with Valeria Hatley now serving as deputy general counsel and Peter Miquelon in charge of investments. The firm also said it hired Stephen Lin as vice president of hospitality.
