Sacramento's multifamily sales volume in the first quarter of 2022 reached the third-highest quarterly total ever, falling just short of $500 million. Investors continue to demonstrate their willingness to pay a premium for local apartment building, with sales volume surpassing $1 billion every year since 2015. The most recent figure of $500 million in the first quarter of 2022 comes on the back of a handful of high-priced sales, pushing the market average to more than $300,000 per unit, the first time ever surpassing that threshold.
