A trio of valuation professionals returned to Cushman & Wakefield as Chris Sonne, Greg Becker and Chris Lassiter rejoined the firm as executive directors. The three boost the commercial real estate services company’s presence in Southern California and the Southeastern U.S.
Sonne, who returned from Newmark, serves as a member of Cushman’s national self-storage practice in Southern California. Becker, who previously worked at Colliers and is based in Tampa, Florida, brings more than 35 years of experience valuing industrial, retail, office and special-purpose assets throughout the Southeast and Caribbean. As for Lassiter, he now serves as Tennessee region lead out of Nashville with a specialization in multifamily assets, after a nearly four-year stint at Walker & Dunlop.
Atlanta-based multifamily real estate firm ECI Group tapped Thomas Rowe to serve as its chief financial officer. Bringing over 30 years of experience to the role, Rowe succeeds the retiring Ben Engel. He joins after over a decade at shopping center development firm SJC Ventures where he served as CFO. At ECI, he will help strengthen the firm’s capital strategy and financing infrastructure as it continues to grow, the company said.
Transwestern boosted its Minnesota presence with the acquisition of Forte Real Estate Partners, a commercial real estate firm based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. The deal adds 12 healthcare, office and industrial tenant advisory team members led by founders Steve Brown, Jim Jetland and Philip Simonet. The group is based in Transwestern’s downtown Minneapolis office at 705 Marquette Ave. S.
Savills added Vicky Ban as an associate director for the group’s Korean Corporate Services platform. Based in Miami, she will co-lead the firm’s Korea Desk alongside Houston-based Nathanial Han, and provide tailored advisory services for Korean companies and investors looking to establish, expand or optimize their North American real estate footprint. Ban brings over a decade of commercial real estate, architecture, design, branding and corporate advisory services experience to the role.
Tyler Caron joined Colliers' New York capital markets group as an associate. He joined the real estate services firm from Lancewood Capital, where he served as an associate. In his new role at Colliers, Caron will advise clients on debt and equity placement and investment sales transactions, the firm said.
Geoff Gonzalez joined CBRE as the real estate services firm's new San Jose, California, market lead. He originally joined the firm in 2018. In his new role, he will focus on expanding the brokerage’s market position, growing talent and advancing integrated solutions that support clients across the region’s technology, life sciences and innovation sectors, CBRE said.
Commercial real estate-focused executive search firm RETS Associates brought on Christina Truong as a director in the group’s Los Angeles office. She brings over a decade of experience spanning recruitment, operations and advisory services to the role.
JLL added Charlie Hargis as an executive vice president in San Antonio. He joins the firm’s industrial team with over 26 years of experience and having completed over 1,500 lease transactions throughout his career. In his new role, Hargis will work alongside the brokerage’s existing industrial leasing and capital markets team to grow its industrial business throughout the region, JLL said.
