Andrew Cohan is managing director for Miami at Majestic Hospitality.
A seasoned professional with extensive real estate, marketing and account management skills in the Americas, Andrew has consulted for hospitality projects owned by family-run developers as well as by institutional investors in resort areas ranging from the USA to the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico.
After 20 years in marketing and sales, Andrew earned a Master’s degree in Hospitality and made a leap into the sector of hotel and resort appraising and consulting. With marketing experience from his first career, Andrew found a niche in projects that require a tight fit of brand, site, destination, and programming. This fit is often required at luxury resort properties for visitors to feel like they are not just guests but have found their “tribe”.
As wellness and sustainability have moved to the forefront of hospitality, Andrew has sharpened his focus by participating in programs with the Global Wellness Institute, studying Circular Economics at Cambridge University, ESG with the Urban Land Institute and becoming an “Ally” of the Transformational Travel Council.

As someone who thinks about brands and franchise agreements quite frequently in my professional life, it’s not hard for the professional perspectives to interrupt my personal travels and hotel stays.
