She holds a master’s in journalism and communications and an M.A. in gender studies and transitional justice from Western Univesity in London, Ontario. She has won several student journalism awards, including the J.L. “Bud” Wild Prize for Print Journalism and the William French Prize for Cultural Journalism. In addition to numerous academic publications, her work has been featured in Maclean’s magazine and on TVO’s #onpoli podcast.
