Courtyard Washington Capitol Hill Trading for $68 Million

Lodging REIT To Buy 204-Door Hotel in Southeast DC

Ranger Properties LLC agreed to sell the 204-room Courtyard Washington Capitol Hill/Navy Yard hotel in Washington, DC, to Chesapeake Lodging Trust (NYSE: CHSP) for $68 million, or approximately $333,000 per room. Chesapeake will assume Ranger’s $37.7 million mortgage debt at a 5.9 percent fixed interest rate that matures in less than six years. The deal is expected to close by June of this year.
