Regency Centers, a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored and community shopping centers, closed on the purchase of its 17th shopping center in the Chicago area. Glen Oak Plaza traded for $18 million, or nearly $288 per square foot. Regency purchased the 62,443-square-foot neighborhood shopping center from the Adinamis family, a Chicago-area real-estate partnership that has owned the property since it was built in 1967.
