For decades, Ottawa and the National Capital Region were afterthoughts in the Canadian industrial real estate landscape. But a shift in demand drivers surrounding e-commerce and supply chains — primarily brought about by the pandemic — has thrust the city of just over a million people onto the radars of companies that would barely have given it a passing glance five or 10 years ago.
