As we move through August, discussions across the UK’s commercial real estate markets turn to the “summer slowdown”. There is a widely held belief that leasing and sales volumes drop off significantly during the third quarter, while decision-makers take their annual holiday, only to rise significantly in the final quarter of the year, when key personnel return to the office and push to get deals over the line before the end of the calendar year.
