The Charlotte Observer, one of the largest newspapers in the Southeast, plans to permanently vacate its Charlotte, North Carolina, newsroom and work remotely through the remainder of the year. The move serves as yet another example of a business shedding its office space as a cost-cutting measure in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
