Cleveland-based shopping center REIT, Developers Diversified Realty (NYSE: DDR), appointed James Boland to serve as a new director on the company's Board of Directors, in light of Dean Adler's resignation from the Board, which he served on for 12 years. Boland will serve on the Board's Audit Committee, with his initial term ending at DDR's 2010 shareholder's meeting. Boland worked for Ernst & Young for 34 years, with his latest post being vice chairman and regional managing partner until 1996. Following that, he served as president, CEO and vice chairman of the Cavaliers Operating Company from 1998 to 2007. Boland currently serves on the Boards of two retailers: Sherwin Williams and Goodyear Tire.
