Al Baskin Co. Hopes to Salvage 3 Chicago-Area Stores

Woodridge, IL-based Al Baskin Co., the parent company of upscale apparel retailer, Mark Shale, filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy on Mar. 23, 2009 -- the company filed once before in 1995. The company cited the "market's collapse" and consumers' pullback on high-end shopping as primary reasons driving its filing.
