JC Penney Opens First LEED Store in Texas

MG Herring's Village at Fairview Lifestyle Center Opens August 5th

On July 31, department store retailer, JC Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP), held the grand opening of its first store designed to earn LEED certification. The 115,000-square-foot store is an anchor of The Village at Fairview, a 1 million-square-foot lifestyle center in Fairview, Texas, that was recently completed by the project's developer, MG Herring Group. JC Penney's co-anchor, Macy's is scheduled to open August 5th, while a Dillard's open is set for 2010.
