Virginia Tech plans to build its $1 billion Innovation Campus closer to Amazon's second headquarters in the Potomac Yard neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia, as part of the National Landing mixed-use development, a sign of how the world's biggest retailer's choice to put its office hub the area is influencing development.
