On 26 September, the British pound reached a record low against the dollar and markets expect parity before year-end. This would make UK real estate relatively cheaper for US dollar investors and should entice them to buy even more UK assets. According to CBRE the strong dollar has driven a burst of US real estate investment overseas with $7.9 billion directed towards the UK in the first half of 2022.
