Blanca Commercial Real Estate has tapped Miles Glascock to boost the group’s healthcare practice as the medical office market becomes increasingly competitive throughout South Florida.

In his new role as senior vice president of healthcare, Glascock will advance the Miami-based brokerage’s healthcare tenant advisory services and support select landlord assignments. He brings nearly four decades of commercial real estate experience to the position and previously served as a senior vice president of JLL’s healthcare practice group in South Florida.

“South Florida is experiencing one of the fastest shifts toward outpatient care in the country,” said Glascock in a press release from Blanca CRE.

Glascock joins the firm as healthcare providers across South Florida ramp up expansions, with Baptist South Florida, the University of Miami Health System, Broward Health and others all announcing plans to expand or open new locations over the past few years. Medical office occupancy sits at over 93%, according to a report from Blanca CRE.

“Healthcare real estate is increasingly tied to clinical performance and technology integration,” said Christie Grays Chambers, vice president at Blanca CRE and the brokerage’s healthcare lead, in the release. “Miles understands how these elements intersect, and his leadership strengthens our ability to guide clients through complex, long-term decisions.”

Blanca CRE is headquartered in Miami’s financial district at 1450 Brickell Ave. The brokerage continues to build its healthcare platform, and provides clients services that include site selection, outpatient strategy, facility requirements and long-term portfolio planning. The group has a second office in Fort Lauderdale, as well as in Miami's Waterford Business District.
