Former Circuit City Bldg. Sells at Auction for $1.3M

Independence Retail Property Succumbs to Foreclosure

The former Circuit City at 18701 E. 39th St. in Independence, MO, was sold in at auction after the former owner, CC Independence LLC, defaulted on the loan and was foreclosed upon. Bank of America, a trustee on behalf of the lender, GMAC Commercial Mortgage Securities, made the winning bid of $1.3 million, or approximately $40 per square foot.
